NEED HELP KEEPING YOUR SENIOR PET? MAYBE WE CAN HELP!
City of Elderly Love's senior pet retention fund helps Philadelphia-area pet owners keep their senior pets during times of hardship. We understand that unexpected vet care and emergencies are expensive. This is why we aim to help pet owners care for their beloved senior animals, preventing unnecessary surrenders to the already-crowded shelter system.

ABOUT THE LET'S STAY HOME FUND
Why senior pet retention?
Individuals and families experiencing financial instability and veterinary emergencies often think surrendering their pets to the shelter is the only option available to get them the care they need. Unfortunately, we have seen first-hand the stress and grief pets experience when they are surrendered to the shelter system.
Our senior pet retention fund both helps pet owners care for their seniors during times of hardship and reduces the number of senior pets who enter our shelter system.

What does the fund cover?
The Let's Stay Home fund provides veterinary care, pet food and supplies, and short-term boarding options to those in need.

Who does the fund help?
We evaluate our ability to help on a case-by-case basis which is dependent on funds available. We ask that participants complete an application prior to determine eligibility. The program is open to residents of Philadelphia and the immediate surrounding suburbs with pets over the age of 8 years.

How can I help?
We can't save Philly's senior pets without your help! Donations made to the Let's Stay Home Fund are tracked and managed separately than those used for our rescue program and are 100% tax-deductible.
